Lense Alternative for Weddings: OurFilm

· OurFilm

OurFilm is a Lense alternative for weddings that need a focused digital disposable camera rather than a larger photo-sharing platform. Guests scan a QR code, enter their name and take a finite number of photos directly in their mobile browser.

The short answer: choose OurFilm for a simple, capture-only wedding film. Choose Lense when camera-roll uploads, filters, video, a live photo wall or guest-count pricing are part of your plan.

This comparison is published by OurFilm, so it is not an independent review. Lense features and public pricing were checked against its wedding page and pricing page on 2026-08-29. Prices and inclusions may change.

What Lense adds

Lense combines a disposable-camera experience with a wider shared-album tool. Guests can capture new photos or add existing ones from their camera roll. The service also offers visual effects, a live event display and an optional video upgrade.

Its listed plans are based on guest count, from a free small event to packages for hundreds of guests. The standard experience allows up to 25 captures per person, with an unlimited-capture add-on available.

Lense is therefore the stronger option when flexibility matters more than a strict finite-film format.

What OurFilm keeps simple

OurFilm asks the host for only the rules needed by the camera:

There are no visual filters, uploads from the phone library, videos, live slideshows or unlimited-shot upgrades. Guests take photos in the moment, and the host receives one private gallery with a full ZIP download.

Pricing model differences

Lense prices by the number of guests. Its public pricing page currently lists up to seven guests free, then multiple paid participant tiers. Unlimited captures and video are separate one-time add-ons.

OurFilm is free for up to five participants. One event purchase removes the participant cap, but every person still has the chosen finite roll. That means the paid plan changes how many people may join, not what kind of camera they receive.

Switching from Lense

OurFilm cannot import a Lense event or gallery. Download the existing album before switching, then create a new event and replace every printed or digital link. Test the new code at the size and distance guests will actually scan.

Is OurFilm cheaper than Lense?
The services use different pricing structures, so the answer depends on event size and selected Lense add-ons. Check both live pricing pages before deciding.
Does OurFilm have a live photo wall?
No. Lense is the better choice when a live venue slideshow is required.
Can OurFilm guests add videos or camera-roll photos?
No. The current OurFilm experience is limited to new photos captured inside the event camera.
Which product feels more like a finite film roll?
OurFilm always keeps the host-selected per-person limit. Lense starts with a limit but also offers an unlimited-capture add-on.
Can a Lense album be moved to OurFilm?
No automatic import is available. Download the Lense album and create a separate OurFilm event.
